Admission Eligibility and Selection Criteria:

i. Basic Academic Qualification: Sixteen years of education or a 4-year degree programme (minimum of 120 credit hours) after HSSC/F.A./F.Sc./Grade 12 or an Equivalent qualification in a relevant subject, with at least 50% marks or a minimum CGPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, is required for admission to the MSCS programme.

ii. Admission Test and Interview: The GRE/GAT/HAT-General or University Admission Test, with a minimum cumulative score of 50%, is required for admission to the MSCS Programme. The GAT test score is valid for a period of two years. Additionally, candidates must achieve at least 50% marks in the interview.

iii. Interdisciplinary Qualification: The university may recommend deficiency courses of level 6 courses, after considering the educational background and knowledge of the candidate. The following courses are recommended to be completed before entering the MS (CS) Programme:

• Analysis of Algorithms
• Assembly Lang. / Computer Architecture
• Computer Networks
• Computer Programming
• Data Structures
• Database Systems
• Operating Systems
• Software Engineering
• Theory of Automata

A student selected for admission having deficiency in the above stated courses may be required to study a maximum of FOUR courses, which must be passed in the first two semesters. Deficiency courses shall be determined by the Admission Committee, before admitting the student.
