Director Academics’ Message

The Office of Directorate of Academic Affairs serves as the backbone of academic excellence, ensuring a seamless and dynamic learning environment. We translate LGU Vision, Mission, Competent Authority’s future plan and key stakeholders’ development initiatives to a workable Strategic Plan. Through continuous coordination with faculties and departments, we oversee all academic matters, ensuring smooth class operations via structured monitoring mechanisms. Our commitment to faculty development is reflected in meticulously planned Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), designed to enhance pedagogical skills and equip faculty with innovative teaching methodologies.
Upholding Higher Education Commission (HEC) standards, we develop, implement, and monitor and classes, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory guidelines. Our role extends to formulating and updating semester rules and academic policies, fostering an ecosystem that supports quality education and institutional growth. We play a pivotal role in organizing key academic events, including convocations and conferences, aligning them with the University’s academic calendar.
To maintain academic integrity and compliance, we liaise with Higher Education Commission (HEC), Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) other government bodies, ensuring the implementation of policies related to curriculum development, education standards, admissions, and student enrolment. Our collaborative approach brings together all stakeholders in shaping various policies such as the Admission Policy, Financial Assistance Policy, Plagiarism Policy, FDP Policy, and Timetable Policy, reinforcing LGU’s commitment to quality education.
The Office of Directorate of Academic Affairs facilitates and conducts University meetings, including Academic Council Meeting (ACM), Board of Advanced Studies and Research (BASR), Board of Studies, Deans and HoDs Committee meetings, providing a structured framework for academic decision-making. We ensure seamless execution of university academic operations including, issue English Proficiency Certificates, and oversee key academic appointments.
Additionally, we maintain comprehensive records of academic curricula, ensuring alignment with evolving educational standards. Through proactive leadership, strategic planning and unwavering dedication, we continue to shape LGU into a distinguished directorate of higher education and intellectual advancement.
