Poster Competition

Wednesday, 12th January, 2017, Department of Economics has organized a poster competition on “Understanding of Economic Implications with reference to Pakistan” in university premises. The objective of this event was to develop and enhance the understanding of key economic issues to promote research culture in LGU’s students. Students participated much enthusiastically and showed keen interest in this activity. They prepared attractive, informative and well composed posters which have left long-lasting impacts on viewers. They admired and appreciated the efforts of the students.

Seminar on current issues of Pakistan Economy

Department of economics arranged a seminar on current issues of Pakistan Economy on 6th May 2016.The seminar was chaired by Vice Chancellor Mr. Obaid Bin Zakria. Ex finance minister and advisor Mr Salman Shah was the guest speaker, who enlightened the students and faculty with his precious views regarding Pakistan quest for economic growth and security. He made a comparative analysis of regional growth factors to analyze current economic situation of Pakistan in the region. He suggested to develop a think tank in LGU and gave the idea of utilizing C–Pack for regional economic benefits.
