Commodore Dr. Sajid Mehmood Shahzad (retd), Vice-Chancellor Minhaj University Lahore, is a naval officer by profession. He has a distinguished profile. Dr. Shahzad held several key command & staff appointments in the Pakistan Navy. For his outstanding services, he received Sitara-e-Imtiaz (military) and gained wide recognition at the national level. He earned Gold Medal in MPhil from National Defense University and holds a doctoral degree in International Relations from the University of Punjab. He is the author of ‘Impact of Pakistan Maritime Affairs on Blue Economy in Backdrop of CPEC’, which is the first book on this subject presenting extensive knowledge on Pakistan’s Maritime Affairs and associated subjects.
