The Directorate of Advance Studies and Research

1. Will be responsible for the quality of all the graduate degree programs being offered by the LGU, as well as the research that shall be conducted under these programs.
2. Will prepare a graduate Studies Prospectus, describing the complete process for award of a graduate degree and ensuring that the booklet shall be available for guidance of all graduate students.
3. Will monitor and ensure that thesis/dissertation is progressing in accordance with the time prescribed in the booklet. It includes, but is not limited to, the timely approval of the research synopsis, evaluation of the research thesis/dissertation in accordance with the HEC guidelines as well as its submission, and finally the conduct of open defense.
4. Ensure the enforcement of guidelines / instructions given in HEC, GEP 2023 and LGU Research Supervision manual
