Coming from a very strong industry background, Prof. Dr. Premkumar Rajagopal is an experienced Logistics and Supply Chain professional with over 12 years of experience in the electronic industry. His vast experience in the industry prompted him to expand his contribution for the academia, he obtained his Doctorate of Philosophy in Supply Chain Management from University Saints Malaysia (USM) and Master Class BSC from Harvard University, USA. President Premkumar, brings with him years of experience in supply chain management in multiple industries. Currently, he is an active advocate of Industry 4.0 and has published both academic as well as industry papers on how Industry 4.0 is shaping the Supply Chain universe. Prof Prem is a well sought speaker and panelist at many global events and conferences related to supply chain, turnaround management and leadership. As a result of his selfless contribution to the industry, he has been recognized by the International Supply Chain Education Alliance for his contribution in the development of the Sustainable Supply Chain Modules, which earns him the title of Certified Master Trainer of Sustainable Supply Chain Professional. To his credit, he has turned around two Universities to make them academically robust and financially viable, owing to his passion and knowledge in strategic planning and sustainable operations. His insight on managing operations using Balanced Scorecard has led to steady growth and risk resistant operation, even in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Summary of the talk:

The 2020 supply chain challenges straddle the entire spectrum, from uncertain macroeconomic environments to the challenge of building talent to manage supply chain uncertainties. But some organizations cope far better than others during this pandemic, with both the prospect and the manifestation of resilience to business through the digitalization efforts. Hence, it is of paramount importance for organizations to continue their investment in industry 4.0 to continually evolve to take on a dynamic 21st century.

Sheikh Imran Nazar Hosein

Sheikh Imran Nazar Hosein is an international Islamic scholar, author and philosopher, specializes in Islamic eschatology, world politics, economics, and modern socio-economic/political issues. Sheikh Imran Nazar Hosein was born in the Caribbean island of Trinidad in 1942 from parents whose ancestors had migrated from India. He has studied at several institutions of higher learning, including the University of Karachi, the University of the West Indies, Al Azhar University and the Graduate Institute of International Relations in Switzerland. He worked for several years as a Foreign Service Officer in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Trinidad and Tobago but gave up his job in 1985 to devote his life to the mission of Islam. He lived in New York for ten years during which time he served as the Director of Islamic Studies for the Joint Committee of Muslim Organizations of Greater New York. Director of the Islamic Institute for Education and Research in Miami, Florida, and Director of D’awah for Tanzeem-e-Islami of North America.

He lectured on Islam in several American and Canadian universities, colleges, churches, synagogues, prisons, community halls, etc. He also participated in many interfaith dialogues with Christian and Jewish scholars while representing Islam in USA. He was the Imam, for some time, at Masjid Dar al-Qur’an in Long Island, New York. He also led the weekly Juma’ah prayers and delivered the sermon at the United Nations headquarters in Manhattan once a month for ten years continuously. He has traveled continuously and extensively around the world on Islamic lecture-tours since 1971.He has also written more than a dozen books on Islam that have invariably been received with public respect. Indeed, ‘Jerusalem in the Qur’an – An Islamic View of the Destiny of Jerusalem’ has become a best seller and has been translated and published in several languages.

Prof. Dr. Aman Dhir

Amandeep Dhir (DSc, PhD) is a Professor of Research Methods at the University of Agder, Norway. He is also a visiting professor at the Norwegian School of Hotel Management, University of Stavanger, Norway and an Extraordinary Professor at North-West University, South Africa. He obtained his first PhD in Psychology (consumer) from the University of Helsinki and a second PhD (DSc) in Information systems (IS) from Aalto University, Finland. His research appears in the Technology Forecasting and Social Change, Journal of Business Research, Business Strategy and Environment, Internet Research, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, International Journal of Information Management, Computers in Human Behavior, Computers in Industry, International Journal of Hospitality Management, Journal of Cleaner Production, Food quality and preferences, Appetite, Information Technology & People, Australasian Marketing Journal, Enterprise Information Systems among others. He has developed and taught several bachelors, masters and doctoral level courses for institutions based in India, Taiwan, Finland, Namibia, South Africa, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Fiji. Amandeep has also done extensive teaching of master and doctoral students and taught subjects related to IT/IS/Marketing/research methodology. He is currently engaged in several large-scale research projects in Asia, Africa and Europe.

Dr. Kamran Moosa

Chief Executive of PIQC Institute of Quality (Pakistan), Experienced Researcher & Professor, International Trainer & Consultant, Author and Advisor to National Institutions in the field of Quality Engineering & Management. He is a Member of International Academy for Quality (IAQ). He is a member of Quality in Education Think Tank (QiETT) of IAQ. He is the recipient of the Ishikawa-Kano Silver Medal award by the Asian Network for Quality (ANQ) from among three other awards from Asia in 2020

He was the founding chairman and first elected chairman and presently the Advisor of Quality and Productivity Society of Pakistan (QPSP). He has been the honorary Director, Research & Publications of the Middle East Quality Association (MEQA). His specialization is in Quality Engineering & Management. He is Certified Six Sigma Black Belt in Quality. He is a Senior Member of American Society for Quality and IRCA (UK) Registered Quality Management System Principal Auditor. He has 30 years of professional experience in the field of Quality Assurance and Engineering, Six Sigma, Lean Management and Productivity Management, particularly in the implementation of these programs in the industry. He was selected by the Asian Productivity Organization (APO Japan) as a national expert in Total Quality Management in 1995. He is an author of four books published in Pakistan and a chapter for a book published in Japan: (1) Quality Management Practices, (2) Practical Guide to ISO 9000, (3) Quality Control, (4) Students Quality Circles, and (5) A chapter in “Implementing Quality Management in Asian and Pacific Countries” by APO Japan. He has many research papers published and presented in international conference proceedings in Pakistan, Japan, UAE, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Iran and Nepal. He has served and serving in the editorial/reviewers’ boards of the American Society for Quality and Journal of the Chartered Quality Institute UK. He has been the Chief Editor of the magazine “Quest for Quality” of Middle East Quality Association (MEQA). He is a Lead Instructor for the Quality Management System Lead Auditor Courses and Six Sigma Green & Black Belt courses. He is presently contributing in many national and international quality forums for the development and progress in the field of Quality and Productivity.

Dr. Alnoor Bhimani

Dr. Alnoor Bhimani is the Honorary Dean of Suleman Dawood School of Business at Lahore University of Management Sciences. He is also the Founding Director of ‘LSE Entrepreneurship’ at the London School of Economics (LSE).He has authored over 100 publications, including bestselling books on financial management, technology and digitization. His academic work and research interests include management accounting in the digital economy, international comparative financial management, strategic finance, the sociocultural analysis of accounting systems and aspects of globalization, governance and financial management, entrepreneurship and economic growth.
